About Therapy

“Your body will honor you with wellness if you honor it with awareness.”
– Anonymous, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Personal Workbook

– Ovid, The Metamorphoses

Embrace hope…

Starting therapy is like beginning a journey of hope.

This is where we begin to see and feel that change is possible… even during your very first session.

You’re not alone. I’ll be with you, listening, understanding, and carrying the burden with you.

About Me

Landing Bio“Therapist” is just a title.

I’m really just like you.

In fact, I’m a therapist because I was where you are now many years ago. I had no idea what was wrong with me, and no one seemed to understand.

No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get rid of the anxiety. Until….

I met my therapist, and it changed my life!

I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Sounds ridiculous! But it was true.

I had no idea how my brain really worked, and I didn’t have a clue how my emotions, thoughts, and behaviors worked together to create a ball of stress and anxiety.

After learning how to retrain my brain, relief was the byproduct. I inevitably started feeling better, and over time, anxiety lost its grip on my life.

I was truly free. And that’s what I want to offer you: true peace and freedom to live your life fully.

Here’s some of my background…

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M, College Station.

In my first career, I was an international school teacher. My family and I lived overseas for 11 years, which gave me a greater perspective on the world and an appreciation for diversity and cultures.

When I’m not in my counseling chair…

I’m usually doing some sort of physical activity (preferably outside) or spending time with my husband. We like to hang out with our adult kids and granddaughter.

I also enjoy reading and traveling.
